January 4, 2005 To Whom It May Concern, I have had the pleasure to work with Madeleine Silva for almost 13 years. Madeleine first came to me as a patient in pre-chiropractic studies. When her passion for chiropractic took root, I hired her to work in my satellite office as a front desk receptionist one night a week for seven years. During that time, we averaged between 25 and 35 patient visits within a few hours. In this position she managed the practice flow, greeted patients, collected payments, answered the phone and scheduled appointments. I would often receive compliments on my friendly and warm front desk receptionist. Many patients used to say that the healing begun the moment they were greeted by Madeleine’s smile. Madeleine also assisted me with preparing and organizing for student group teachings after adjusting hours. In 1997 Madeleine started working for me full time as the Office Manager in my main office. Madeleine was responsible for scheduling appointments, managing the phones, collecting payments, banking deposits, and ordering office supplies. The year Madeleine worked in my office was the most successful year to that date. Madeleine was the driving force behind implementing a marketing program into my practice. It began with in house marketing and then she went out and contacted local stores and did spinal screenings. She also assisted me in planning and organizing a very successful community marketing event in my practice. My practice steadily grew during the time Madeleine worked in my office both by patient visits and collections. In 2003 I hired Madeleine in a different capacity, as a consultant for myself and my support staff. Madeleine has provided us with information packed two hour training sessions - Each training has been on a specific topic such as workers’ compensation, patient retention, re-examinations, collections, and new patient forms to name a few. A detailed note package accompanies each session that easily could have been stand alone training packages as they provided step-by-step instructions. During the training sessions my staff and I ask questions and together with Madeleine we troubleshoot difficult cases. In 2004 I hired Madeleine to do the insurance billing for my practice. Once every other week Madeleine comes to my office to prepare, mail and log all the billing as needed. She also does all the follow-up and keeps a detailed follow-up log on the computer for easy access for anybody on my team. I’ve find it so much easier to have her travel to my office as supposed to copying all the insurance statements and fee slips to mail to her location as we used to do in the very beginning. My staff complained that it took them the same amount of time to copy everything as it did to the billing themselves. This way it’s a total win-win. Madeleine continues to provide me and my team with insurance news and updates. Contrary to many other billing services and/or consultants, Madeleine offers this service free of charge to me. Not only does she provide us with great new information but she will also include updated and relevant practice forms in digital format for immediate implementation. I can not tell you how much we value this kind of unique service. It’s been extraordinary for my team, my practice and me. It has been so helpful for both my team and I to have the support and knowledge that Madeleine brings to our fingertips. We are encouraged to call and email as questions arise. Madeleine is always quick to respond and get back to us with information, forms and answers. Her commitment to our success is something I really appreciate.
